Ben Stiller has praised Tom Cruise for his cameo in upcoming comedy 'Tropic Thunder'.
Stiller, who stars in and directed the film, gave Cruise credit for shedding his clean-cut image to appear as a foul-mouthed studio administrator in the movie.
Speaking to E! Online Stiller said that the 'Minority Report' star was exquisite to establish suggestions for his reference: "[Tom] aforementioned, 'I want really big hands playing this guy'. I said, 'Really? Big hands?'
"He had these work force made, and then I said, 'Well, it'd be really nerveless if you were denudate too'. Then we did this make-up test where he got bald."
Cruise's unwritten dancing in a makeup test was included in the last cut.
Stiller recalled: "He precisely said, 'It'd be interesting if this guy danced'. He started dancing.
"I was loving it. I loved watching him do this thing, so he started dancing in the makeup test, and then we went back and wrote up this idea that he's dancing in the movie. I liked it a lot."
'Tropic Thunder' is released in Irish cinemas on Friday 19 September.
